We doubled the number of organisations promoted through Advice Southampton. This service provides online access to young people, people with disability, refugees and asylum seekers, older people and minority ethnic groups for advice. Advice Southampton is a flag-ship project for Southampton Advice Services Alliance (SASA) to improve client access to the right service.
We undertook extensive research into all advice and guidance services available to Southampton residents, applying the qualifying criteria set by SASA. We made direct contact with each of the target organisations to capture details for them to be listed on the Advice Southampton website. The information was captured via an online form to ensure data accuracy, completeness and encouraging swift responses.
By engaging with each service individually, we were able to promote the work of Advice Southampton, their objectives and to ensure organisations understood the purpose and benefit of being listed on the website.
Alongside the collection of services, we worked through their current process of capturing the details of organisations. We ensured each service was credible by including their charity and/or company number, any accreditation and their funding sources.
Our Marketing Plan raised awareness of Advice Southampton throughout organisations in the city, providing a methodology for SASA to replicate this after our initial promotion. Our Marketing Plan solicited enquiries from others wanting to be listed as well.
